Cristie Kerr will defend her title at the Kia Classic March 24 – March 27, 2016, at the Park Hyatt Aviara Golf Club in Carlsbad. The field also features crowd favorites Paula Creamer, Stacy Lewis, Michelle Wie and Lexi Thompson.
Strong Field
This is the final chance for players to fine-tune their game before the first major tournament of the year, the ANA Inspiration next week in Rancho Mirage. 98 of the top 100 players on last year’s money list will be playing this week.
Parking
General parking is conveniently on site for $10. If you drive a Kia, you park for free.
Players to Watch
Lexi Thompson: With a win under her belt already this year, Lexi is off to a great 2016. This young dynamo is always on the “must watch” list.
Lydia Ko: Lydia has been a dominant force on the LPGA Tour from the moment she began her rookie year in 2014. She did not miss a single cut that year, and only missed one cut last year. In 2015 she was named Rolex Player of the Year.
Stacy Lewis: Battling scoliosis since age 11, Stacy has overcome many obstacles but they didn’t stop her from qualifying for the Tour on her first attempt. She is sweet and sincere and is as much fun to talk to as she is to watch on the course.
There are too many wonderful women to list here. Go out and decide for yourself who your favorites are.
