A Dive Bar That Isn’t a Dive
Beginning July 13th, Harrah’s Rincon Casino & Resort is debuting Dive, a new dayclub complete with Southern California’s only swim-up bar. Be sure to leave the kids at home (and get a ride) if you’re planning on sitting poolside and sipping margaritas. Drawing inspiration from Las Vegas, “Adult Swim Saturdays,” now through September, are 21+ and feature daylong sets by a new DJ every week.
“Dive” is the result of Harrah’s ongoing $160 million expansion. The updates include a lazy river, a swim-up bar, multiple hot tubs, and a new restaurant – ‘ritas Cantina.
“VIP” cabanas and day beds will be available for use with purchase of a package that also includes a variety of beverages and food from ‘ritas Cantina.
The cantina specializes in traditional Mexican fare and specialty margaritas. Sit-down indoor and outdoor dining is available, or you can grab a bite to go from the ‘ritas food truck. Food-truck fare includes individual street tacos and cantina entrees range from a tequila-marinated shrimp burrito to skirt steak served with jalepeño potatoes and “ranchero” beans. If you want to skip right to dessert, offerings include horchata cheesecake and deep-fried ice cream served with chocolate and cinnamon sauce.
Dive is open to all ages of visitors and hotel guests Sunday – Friday. Hotel guests receive two passes to Dive per night of stay, and entry for visitors is $10 Monday – Friday and $20 on weekends. For more info, visit divedayclub.com.
