As the home of more small farms than any other US county, San Diego hosts a plethora of produce-focused fests, but few get quite as wacky as the Fallbrook Avocado Festival. This Sunday, the North County tradition will return with a day full of contests, costumes, and unique goodies that celebrate the beloved fruit. And that won’t be the only chance to celebrate Mother Nature this weekend—there are also the zero-waste festivities of Saturday’s South Bay Earth Day and the two-day Coronado Flower Show, where you can explore the natural beauty of countless spring blooms.
