The truffle is known as one of the world’s rarest and priciest ingredients, and San Diegans can get a Michelin Guide–worthy introduction to its umami flavors at Ambrogio by Acquerello’s six-course Truffle Dinner Friday night. Chef Salmoiraghi’s truffle tasting menu will include beef tartare, quail, Alaskan black cod, and, most importantly, black and white truffle. Reservations start at 5 p.m. and require a $50 deposit.
