Marston House

Marston House

You can’t call yourself a San Diegan until you’ve walked the streets where it all began. Each summer, Save Our Heritage Organisation offers walking tours around the city’s most historical neighborhoods and landmarks, including Bankers Hill and the famed Marston House (pictured above). Built in 1905, the home lies in the northwest corner of Balboa Park, and is considered one of the finest examples of the Arts and Crafts movement. Learn this, juicy tidbits about the Marston family, and more when you visit the property and its five acres of picturesque gardens. We think it’s a great way to support the city and make up for all those times you fell asleep in history class! Tours offered June 17 through Labor Day. sohosandiego.org
